The ice is gone and the rainbows have gone into their false spawn mode. Love this time of year. Glow bugs and plastic beads are the temptation of choice for them. Here are a few I was lucky enough to catch after work yesterday evening.

Hefty bugger.

Kind'a long and a little on the skinny side, but put up a good fight.

Trust me I left plenty in Montana. I have a number of fishing partners up there that like to send me photos and remind of just how big the fish are in Montana. If I were still up there I would be anxious as can be to get on some of those lakes on the Missouri for spring ice out fishing.

Ok, I might have to point the truck west next weekend. Yellowstone is probably going to turn pretty murky again if the weather starts warming up.
