Nada Culver is the new Deputy Director of Policy & Programs at the BLM under President Biden.
This is perhaps the most exciting pick I've seen yet. I worked with Nada for years in Wyoming & Montana on oil & gas issues, public lands conservation and stewardship reform. There is no finer legal mind in the nation when it comes to how the BLM should be managed.
She spent a lot of her career at The Wilderness Society & was the primary architect of the legal battle to push back against Pendley & Bernhardt's abandoning of their mitigation responsibilities over the sage grouse plans. A year or so ago, she moved over to the Audubon Society.
If you wanted someone in Pendley's position that is well suited to undo their massive grift, you got it.
I don't look up to many people in this line of work, as most are eager to take credit, but fewer are as eager to do the hard work. Nada Culver is a personal hero of mine.
