Packing it in...

At least for the season, temporarily. I "have to" go to Oceanside and do the tourist thing (Sea World) with my wife and son next weekend, which is also the last weekend for quail and chukar. So I applied a new coat of waterproofing to all my boots and put them away on the shelf.

Maybe I can find a spot for Spring turkey hunting? I can hunt hogs all year, so that is a bright spot - it is still kind of melancholy to say "So long" to the deer, elk and upland game hunting for months.

Jeez,couldn't you suggest they postpone the trip just one week?
It never works for me. I just get the rolled eyes, the audible sigh of disgust, and you can see it coming. Any second she is going to bring up how much time I spend HUNTING and FISHING, and would it just KILL YOU to give up one day of .blah..blah..blah..blah .......
Your right save yourself the aggravation and heartache and go.
