Pack out pics

Packing the hooves? Couple shifter knobs? And y’all get after me for my funny shit? Y’all just won the internet. Congrats..
That has never made any sense to me at all, packing out the lower legs. We used to remove the two lower leg bones with just a knife, but now with cooking Oso Buco, only the lowest leg bone gets left in the field. I like a compact pack, nothing to get hung up in the branches.

Elk, owe a huge thanks to @Oak for giving me the name of a packer as I drove in to the unit. Back when snagging incredible, high pref points reissue tags, the afternoon before season opener in Colo was a thing. This bull was 3 miles down down and down in a hole I sure did not want to carry back up on my back. @Dinkshooter was there and ready to help pack out so I guess he also benefited from these pack horses.

Ram was a fun and brief hunt. posted an extended thread about it in the big 3 section.
I will have to check it out! That’s my goal, a ram with a bow before I eat dirt. Every year it looks less likely to happen! Congrats!

This is my 10 yr old with 2 quartered out bone-in muledeer on his back. Unfortunately he was only able to bear the weight of the pack only long enough to take the photo.

My new favorite thread. All great photos and some awesome looking scenery! This is the only pic (some buddies took video otherwise) of the pack out from my MT public Archery bull this I past September. At the rate my deer season is going it might be my only meat in the freezer.
