Pack out distance for goat harvest (Montana)

Hello - I am gathering info on the typical distances required to pack out a mountain goat for a project I'm working on. I am interested in Montana hunts only, and especially those in the Crazy Mountains. If you got a goat or know someone who got a goat, how long was the pack out?

It would be helpful to add a comment or PM me the distance and a general location (e.g 6 miles, Crazy Mountains) in addition to answering the poll. But don't feel obligated to give up your secret spot.

2. Five miles AB Wilderness
3. Four miles. Cabinet Mtn Wilderness.
4. Two miles Cabinet Mtn Wilderness.
5 Two miles Gallatin/Custer NF
6. 3 3/4 miles Bridgers

Having a goat fetish is akin to narcotic addiction. Some get hooked after the first experience.

The 4 I've been on, all backpack trips in the Lee Metcalf Wilderness, Madison Range.

1. 7.5 Taylor Peaks Tunnel Ridge 1998
2. 3.5 Spanish Peaks Beehive Basin 2012
3. 9 Spanish Peaks Beacon Point 2012
4. 8 Spanish Peaks Gallatin Peak 2019

3 miles off elephant head south if livingston
2.5 miles off of the high woods out of geyser
And two more off of Kodiak about 2 miles

When I got my goat in the Great Bear Wilderness, I thought we were about 7 miles in, based on counting squares on the Forest Service map. I just plotted our route on GoogleEarth and it looks like it was actually someplace between 8 and 9.

Short and sweet. All down hill, and in the Soda Butte lodge hot tub drinking a beer by 4 PM.

7 or 8 mostly downhill but bushwhacking miles. From The Pyramid Mountain to the truck in Mill Cr.
Unit 323, A-B Wilderness.
(Not my goat).

I've never touched a Mt. goat, but by the looks of the above posts, there are some bad ass goat hunters in Montana.
