I’ll post the store tonight but here is some pics! Now the work begins!!!!
A little less then a hour into shooting light I spotted this bull a spike and a cow in a clear cut. Snuck into about 250 when he started walking. Got a rest and just as I shot he took a step so I hit him a bit back. Second shot was perfect and blew steam out his off side. Then the work started all day!! Didn’t get him back to the truck till noonish. Then back to town for a trailer and took him to a buddy with an electric winch and skinning pole. Got him skinned and split in half. Then popped off the shoulders and hips so I could get him hung in the garage. It’s 37F in there now. Perfect hanging weather. 12 hours after I shot finally had the last piece hanging up. They sure are way more work then the spike elk I shot a few weeks ago.
