Apparently hunt trophy shots are akin to drinking beer in college. I don't know the guy so maybe he's Don Peay's bro or maybe Oregon is sliding off Theodore Roosevelt's conservation vision... Maybe both. Whenever "Defenders of Wildlife" pops up, a red flag instantly waves.
So what's the deal? Just more Portland anti hunting extremists failing to see the conservation $$$ behind productive fishing / hunting license, etc $?

Defenders of Wildlife and CBD are so powerful here, and the average Oregon hunter is either unengaged on advocacy, or openly combative to the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife.

I think ODFW is one of the most embattled agencies in the nation. Most are hyper critical of the agency, regardless of which side of the aisle they're from, and somehow both sides consider ODFW firmly in the opposing camp.
