Oregon Bull (little guy)

Been hunting a big bull for 3 weeks and could not seal the deal. This one will do. Had 2 days left in season and hunted 25 days straight and had numerial opportunities on many bigger bulls than this guy but what the heck.

He was 3 miles inside the Rocky Mountain line. The bull I was after was a 320''ish bull. Seen him often but between private land and 40 other elk with him he will make it through another archery season.

A 320'' bull in this country is like a 410'' bull in some of the better spots in the West.

MJ you have to work for that bull. I notice that you are three arrows short in the quiver. Or did you have a chance at other bulls? Congrats on that nice freezer meat for the winter. just curious what broadhead you was useing as well.

Yea I shot 3 times at this bull. First shot was a little high so I stuck with him and got another arrow in him. I wasn't sure where he was hit the second time so I took a long shot for the third. It was deflected by a branch but the first 2 arrows did the trick. I had many chances on other bulls but this show was all over. I had been in the Elk for 1 hour and 15 min. We had many branch bulls in this herd and I had a couple chances at them but I wanted the big guy. The herd had moved through me 3 different times and I had no chance to stay with them. I started cow calling and I called this bull back. I could have shot him 30 min. earlier but I was still after the big bull. When he came into range I had already decided to shoot the next bull that gave me a opportnity.

I shoot a 100 gr. Striker by G5.
