Opening Day Luck

[Baerman]

Went to bed at 11 pm the night before the opener. Got up at 2 am. Drove three hours. Hiked two hours before light. Saw a bull and cow moose. Saw a spike and cow elk. Got on ridge. Heard a gun shot. Saw bucks running at me. Shot the bigger buck of the group.

Deboned buck. Hiked down 2200' to truck.

Drank a beer.

Headed home for bed.
