Got EXTREMELY lucky today. Took my stuff to get my RealID and there were NO other folks at the DMV. But that's not it. Started doing the paperwork and told the gal that they spelled my last name wrong on my birth certificate. Missed a letter. UH-OH! This won't work! I say, "Great. Now what?" I had to provide 3 different documents with my name on it that were at least 20 years old so they could scan and send somewhere for approval. Back home I go. The lucky part? Yesterday while going through my safe I tossed some old paperwork that didn't seem to matter anymore. I dug them out and found the 3rd item I needed. That one went back into the safe when I got home the 2nd time. New license is on it's way. Good thing things didn't get ruined before I dug it out!

Yeah, I used to see his posts and wish I could get on the list. Timing was perfect this year. I'm free to travel, wasn't strapped with bills and was on the forum when he posted. Daughter damn near beat me senseless saying DO IT! Glad that he made the offer to one of us. Extra cool being on Kodiak. Hopefully we'll get a little downtime for some sightseeing.

Buzz, please let me know when this happens on one of your Wyoming cow hunts. I’d love to be a fill in on any one of your elk adventures. On a different note, I got sea sick sitting stationary on a jet ski on a small calm lake once. Another time, I tried deep sea fishing in Mexico; it took a liter of Sol beer and 2 dramamine to bring me back from the edge of death. Only way I’m adventuring in Alaska is on foot lol
