I wrote this to demonstrate just how bad things can be if we as outdoorsmen do not unify. It is modified from a speech that a priest had written during world war 2. But with a little tweaking it can sho what will happen if we tolerate the prohibition of 1 legal sound practice. I am a trapper, I also hunt and fish and support all legal and ethical forms of harvesting game. But was saddened by safari internationals public opposition of trapping. Just remember people we are in this together.
When the Legislators came for the trappers.
I remained silent;
I was not a trapper.
When they locked up the dog hunters.
I remained silent;
I did not hunt with dogs.
When they came for the safari hunters.
I did not speak out;
I was not a safari hunter
When they came for the public land
I remained silent;
I did not hunt public land.
When they came for me, the last of the hunters.
there was no one left to speak out.

I remained silent;
I was not a trapper.
When they locked up the dog hunters.
I remained silent;
