Miller, hope i'm not stretching the rule on this one as I didn't pull the trigger but its still my best hunt of the year, possibly the decade This was my friend Dan's bull from MT this year. One of my most memorable hunts of all time!
Very slow year this year. Just didnt see the deer like normal. In fact, the worst year I can ever remember for seeing deer. I did get this guy early November.
We do a meat hunt in SW MT for whitetail. This year, 8 hunters harvested 30 deer. There were three antlered animals shot, and all were meat bucks. I wrote a little about this hunt here
I went through my blog and I'll try to post mine in order. First hunting related post was shed hunting in New Mexico in late April. Only found a couple but they were decent.
Shrimping in PWS. We ended up with about 15-18lbs of tails. Fun trip and one I want to do soon. Found a lot of deer sign in one of the coves we stayed in.
Those are some awsome pic everybody! Here are a couple of pics from my early archery scouting. I was unable to harvist this one. There is always next year!
Up in the North Country, looking for booner bucks (saw a ton, bu no solid shot) and more meat does. We pulled four muley does out of this country. Cannot wait to get back up there. BTW - Try the Sports Club in Shelby, MT. Outstanding food and a great atmosphere.
Here is mine and my sons rifle deer. This was my favorite hunt yet as my son is getting alittle older and spending time together hunting is just awsome for me. This is his second buck.
