Those of you who subscribe to Fresh Tracks+ saw these episodes not long after we got home. This week, they start rolling out on YouTube.

If you want to read the play-by-play and have a spoiler, here is the thread I posted on Hunt Talk - https://www.hunttalk.com/threads/bury-me-in-the-mackenzie-mountains.325855/

If you want to watch the videos, here is episode 1 of 7.

Thanks for watching.

Watched it today. Beautiful country. Wondering if you met one of there guides named Shale DeShipper? He’s one of the best. He guided me at Stone Mountain Safaris in northern BC

Just finished watching day 2 of your hunt, You’re a lucky man! Congrats on a Great ram with a borrowed gun! Hope to see you in Reno!

I always find it a bit comical, and insincere, when some of the TV guys show up on these guided hunts and try to make you think they pulled it off by themselves. Never any mention of the outfitter or guide who makes it all come together.

Marcus knows my feelings about that and he came up with a great idea - make an entire episode about the crew that made this hunt possible. I loved it. Glad he thought of that and glad the crew was willing to be interviewed by Marcus. From the boss, Harold, down to the helpers at base camp, the guides, wrangles, and cooks, the Gana River crew goes above and beyond to make the experience special.

Marcus also came up with the idea to do an episode about the horses Without which, these hunts would be impossible. These episodes are a bit different from what you normally see. Hope you like them.

I’m so glad you guys chose to do those extra episodes. You’re right. It’s totally insincere and acknowledging the hard work of those individuals is only right. 👍🏻👍🏻

All the productions you and your crew put out are top notch! This last YT episode, showcasing the people of Gana River was every bit, if not more, incredible!

Not to derail the thread, but any chance Marcus put together anything on his bighorn hunt that’ll be released to the masses? He seems like such a top notch individual, it would be cool to watch his pursuit of his ram.

Uncle Elt is smiling down on this one.

I don’t think they could get a filming permit for that area. So just the still photos that Kara and Kyler took are available.

A quick video about these amazing horses and what care the guides give to them, knowing that without these horses, the guide's job would be nearly impossible.

After this one, we get back to the sheep and caribou hunting.

The two hunts I’ve done in northern BC those mountain horses are big and amazing. Stone Mountain had 85 horses.

Episode 6 of 7. The thumbnail says it all. What an amazing ram.

Heartbreak and Triumph | NWT Dall Sheep and Caribou Day-by-Day (EP.6)

What a great ram Andy took. The bent barrel experience brings back memories of my BC hunts. The outfitter told when getting off your horse always remove your gun from the scabbard for this exact reason. The message of this video of Randy taking his ram with Andy’s gun, and Andy taking his ram with Randy’s gun.

Was lucky enough to be at Gana this year and can't agree more. Was pleased to fly back and share a meal with Jesse and Vanessa back at the hotel in Wells. Great young people to chat with about their time up north and find out what they do off-season. Jesse's eyes lit up when I told her that her name cabin wall, I tell you! One more, Harold's son and Ryan's son make the best fishing guides. DO NOT forget your pack rods and red pixee spoons with barbless single hooks if you come up in late Aug/Sept (we were on orders from Harold to harvest a few for a NWT fish fry). All these small memories combined almost equal the hunting!

Episode 7 of 7 is now live. Hope you enjoyed this series.

HUGE Velvet Caribou! | NWT Caribou and Sheep Day-by-Day (EP.7)

I read the entire blog when you got back and all the pictures and loved it. This series did not dissapoint. I to was wondering how the sheep roasts turned out?

One thing i was noticing was the guides who are up there 100 days are hunting in what looks like Jeans and flannel. Classic.

Really liked the segment of learning about the guides and camp boss (cook) Jesse.
