Well:

Today we finished my son's NV archery antelope hunt. We finished, because in 70 hours of blind sitting and sweating, not one chance was presented. Wild horses galore seemed to keep the antelope out of the waterhole until darkness.

Did get some pictures of a big bull doing his thing. Probably not the kind of bull you were thinking of. :D

When you have your 17 year-old son in the blind during these type of things, it provides a good "lead in" to the birds and bees update. hump

Looks like she doesn't want him to interrupt her thirst. hump

Regardless of the outcome, we had a great hunt. Spent a lot of time together, something I know is getting less possible, given he is off to college next year.

Wish I had better pictures to post, but we agreed these were the most appropriate for this hunt. :p

Today was spent getting cleaned up, reorganizing gear, and will try get a good night's sleep, as we are off to the Sheldon tomorrow for a week of scouting before my rifle antelope hunt starts. I am hopeful we will have some real antelope pictures to post.

Happy Hunting!

70 hrs in a blind for a 17 year old !!! I would be 1 proud Dad congrats

There is a Tom style trophy,,,Fin did the bull try and stomp your accountant,,,or was it a lawyer? What did ya guess the SCI score on that bad boy?

Better be careful with those birds & bees 'updates' Big Fin...some info is better left unheard.

Yeah, Those updates can back fire on a Fellow. The wife was looking for a ticket for some clothes the boy asked her to return........she checked the boy's glovebox and what do you think she found>>>>TROJANS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Chit hit the fan and it splattered all over me! Good Times Big Fin! John

Stinking horses. NDOW needs to be allowed to crop back the population of horses and burros IMO.

Sorry your son didn't get a crack at a lope!

Hopefully your connection on the Sheldon will turn you onto a hot area. I spoke with him last week and he's as giddy as a school girl waiting for his archery elk season to start.
