Not Ideal late season hunt…

Because I haven’t practiced with the turrets. Got the new build and scope late in the summer and had limited time. Closest range is over an hour away. I need to put a lot of range time in over the next year.
If you're up this way anytime...I know a guy with a range membership.

Using holdover just flat sucks.

My dad taught me to use holdover. I can't guess distances, so that didn't last long.

He had a coveted CO elk tag a very long time ago (when they were easy to draw) and had 3 shots at a large 6 point bull, missed them all. I asked him how far away he was. 'idk'

*sigh*

Great story. I’ve got a little girl on the way, and these are the types of memories I hope to make with her when she gets old enough. You’re an awesome dad.

Yeah, I'm just saying. Not trying to be a jerk.
I think safety all the time I am off the ground, 99% of the time without a harness. Something can happen at any time, ...take a second to recognize " what if".

Always ask "What's the worst thing that can happen?" You'd be surprised how often its life altering injury or death.
