New Mexico Unit 34 Elk Questions

I hope to hell this tactibro doesn’t generate revenue because then this: https://www.fs.usda.gov/main/lincoln/passes-permits/event-commercial

Fresh Tracks secures permits for the awesome content we all enjoy and it’s a process that cannot be done quickly.
Considering he joined HT yesterday to ask for hunting spots in mid-August before a September hunt, I would surmise he did not have the forethought to get the Forest Service permit for his filming.

The same thought process would also lead me to believe that he will be headed to the archery shop in about two weeks to get his bow tuned so he can start practicing for the hunt.

I could be wrong.

In all seriousness, I hope he kills a nice bull but doesn't advertise the unit on YouTube.

I am not required to get a forest service permit, Because I am an amateur and I do not have an Props, Models nor am I going anywhere that the public cant. Also, there is more than enough info on this thread for someone to help someone not knowing the area. My video likely will not give any more info than what is already available. Likely I will leave Unit vague but I am sure it will come up no matter what. Hard to avoid when people know towns and cities etc. Yeah it could drive more people to put in for the Unit which could make the odds harder for other non Residents. Thats an issue I am sure is across the whole state not just one unit. I was lucky to draw and its completely random so someone else could draw just a likely as anyone else. Regardless if applications go up in that unit because of me and my video..I did something right! The goal of my content is to help educate people to help them have the best hunting experience possible.

And on your last statement yes I was looking for any pointers, directions or places that could be of a start. Asking that question doesn't express lack of knowledge or wanting something special, more of a confirmation of all the research I have done is valid.
