I grew up out west in the Sierra Nevadas of California, and have spent a bit of time in Utah as well, but I didn't grow up hunting. A couple years ago I got stationed in Tennessee with the military and last year I started hunting turkey and whitetail. I've enjoyed the abundant hunting opportunities, but I've always wanted to hunt Elk and Mule Deer out west. I was just offered a great opportunity for an Eastern Colorado Mule Deer rifle hunt this November, so I'm pretty excited about that. Oh, my wife's family owns a cabin in Utah, so I'm hoping to be able to plan an Elk hunt there for next season. I know pretty much nothing about Elk and Mule deer, so I'm hoping I can get some information here that will help me start looking in the right area to see some animals. Thanks for having me on the forum!
