Well, I got tricked into a new grouse gun. I have been thinking about replacing my old pump 20 gauge with a semi-auto Browning, which it turns out are impossible to find. In my search for anyone local that would have one or be able to get one, I stumbled into a 20 gauge Citori Hunter Grade 1 for $1350. It shouldered great in the store but I had to think about it overnight since I was really planning on a semi-auto and wasn't sure how drinking my morning coffee with an extended pinkie finger would feel.

Turns out it feels great, and I now have a brand new 20 gauge citori that I am looking forward to chasing mountain grouse with this fall. To add to the deal, Browning is running a $50 rebate on them right now, and the gun case I bought got rung up at half price. Helps take the sting away from paying $22/box for game loads.

Nice score! Hope you enjoy it. I found a similar bargain on a ruger red label 20 gauge years back. Stainless with engraving and gold inlay NIB it just sits in the safe because I'm afariad to scratch it.

I agree on the matte finish being classy. I’m not too much on double guns, as they feel kinda high faluting. That one looks downright sensible and beautiful at the same time.

Shot the best game of sporting clays of my life with the same model I borrowed from a coworker. Very nice gun at a great price
