New Fly Boxes

Those boxes are super cool!! I might be interested in one.

I’ve been selling basic boxes with no carving or maple for $75. I think I’ll ask another $15 if you’d like the top textured, maple inlaid similar to what I did for my box above, or a box with a stone top. I can use foam or cork strips on the inside. Both work well, but the foam is probably a little more durable. I like the look of cork more though.

I’d be happy to do custom boxes too. If you’ve got a favorite stream nearby, send me a couple handfuls of stones (need to be less than 1/4” thick) and I’ll throw together a top using some walnut that you’re also welcome to select from my stash.

And most importantly, you get a bull or brown trout sticker with every box.

Just finished up a couple boxes. Used some stones I collected on the Olympic Peninsula for this one. It’s made with walnut and maple. Hoping to get $125 for it if anyone is interested.

The box is made of walnut and is roughly 5.75” x 3.75” x 1.25” with an internal depth of 0.63” (which happens to be 5/8” but I’m a biologist and can’t switch from decimals to fractions or change significant digits in the same sentence).

This walnut box is 6.75” x 4.75” x 1.25” with an internal depth of 5/8”.

It looks pretty slick as is but I can texture the top and/or bottom with a gouge similar to some of the other boxes I’ve posted for an extra $15.
