I have tested one briefly. They will haul a load well, and if your into fancy pockets here and there they have a lot of that, much like everything Eberle makes. I would recommend the Destroyer or Battleship over anything in the J-series as far as load bearing goes, mostly because of the load lifters.

Saw some pretty neat frame back packs already reduced at Gander Mountain. Going back after Christmas to see if they are even lower.

I bought Cabin fevers J-34 Eberlestock, great pack, carrys loads well and compresses down to daypack size...2 thumbs up for this pack for western hunting! Have not used it for a multi-day pack yet, but will in near future.
