[Big Sky]

This was created in a medium that is relatively new to me. In fact it's only the second time I've tried it. It's called scratch board. The surface is covered with black wax and then is scratched away to expoxe the underneath surface. In this case the surface beneath the black wax is "real silver". The scan doesn't really do it justice because in real life the silver reflects light in some really cool ways as you move he drawing around. Hope this give some of you a nice little visual break.

Beautiful work! Effect is similar to my engravings on black or smoked glass. That shows excellent detail, right down to the expression in the eyes!

I like that! Sure looks better than the ones I did in 5th grade! We started with a bunch of different colors on the paper then colored over everything with black crayon, toothpick, then scritch!
