Nevada Wildlife Commission to consider halt to sage grouse hunting

It's already listed as Warranted but Precluded, so don't worry about having to admit to a problem, folks know. I agree, I don't think hunting is harming the populations at all. Sounds like someone's trying to calculate the political costs/benefits instead of looking at the data or biologists recommendations...
 
I dont hunt there but I would agree , that ravens or other predators kill a lot more than hunters do.
Hers in WV when I was growing up there were plenty of Ruffled grouse and Quail Also turkey to a point. But the first two have diminished a lot. That has not really been that long.either. Im 46 and rezally sarted seeing this trend about 20 years ago. I think our problem falls more to coyotes raccoons and such eating the eggs and hatch. There are still some around but not the numbers of 25 years ago. The habitat has not changed that much. So my blame on ours go to the predators. DAMN YOTES
