Well here I am with another thread.. I need to get my wife some decent binoculars bought. So far we've just been borrowing my buddies swaros and all if he doesn't have a hunt at the same time. But now with the time she's gonna spend in the field this fall I need to get her something bought. I can't decide on what to get her. Was looking at the maven C1s, the gpo passion ed, vortex viper, vanguard endeavors, Vanguard veo hd IV, and sig sauer canyon hd... what yall recommend what seems to be best glass quality out of those to yall? The price difference in those I listed I'm not worried about. I just want the best glass quality I can get for that level of optics. Not really that interested in the vipers unless someone changes my mind

I'm not familiar with those.

I'd also throw in Tract Torics. They are direct only. You can buy them on Amazon and return them if you don't like them. They are not sold in stores.

Another option that bird watchers seem to like is pentax. Whatever you buy will be a disappointment after exposure to swaros
I should say the swaros were used on my archery elk hunts. So not a ton of glassing and I wouldn't say she's used to looking long range with them. So softens that blow some

I had a pair of the C1’s, never had an issue with them and upgraded to the b series two seasons ago.

I also would price a set of Leupold bx4’s through schmalts.

Many birders use the Nikon Monarch binoculars. My wife and I have been birders for many years. I mostly use Swarovski's, but we have 4 pairs of the Monarch 7 binoculars in different configurations that we are very pleased with.

I think the Meopta's are terrific and great value, but probably slightly above the stated budget.

I can’t really tell you what the Athlon’s compare too as I’ve never really been around or used the high end brands I just know they’re very clear for the price range they’re in. Probably not a lot of help to you just my personal experience
