Nebraska “slam” attempt

Made a little mid day trek looking/scouting for a decent mule deer buck. I went down into the canyons and across the creek. Made a 7 mile loop, beautiful country, but no mule deer were harmed. When I crossed back across the creek I stopped to put my boots on, there was 3 cows. 2 darted, one investigated me. I had an old smashed up granola bar in my bag so I gave it to her, big mistake. The whole herd thought I was gonna feed them. Dropped a whole 380’ then back up both ways. So it’s way worse than the mountains. 😂 Started and ended under the small puffy cloud in the first pic. Bonus pic for @Gellar drying my feet out after wading the creek. I called this bull in for my mother in law. I told her I wouldn’t let her shoot him. She pulled up her crossbow and that was it. She’s 62, never shot an elk so she was just excited as can be. It’s her tag and I’m excited for her! 2C17742F-1B14-4D4E-A0A1-11D24D1EFEDF.jpeg
