ND lottery

4D Mule Deer Buck for me. Started sending in 2003, super stoked to be able to get back there. Shot my first deer (md doe) and my first Mule Deer Buck in that unit back in the late 80’s. It’s a 16 1/2 day season, I plan to be there for the last 12 days of the season if need be. After 18 years, I’m so excited I can hardly wait to get over there to scout, fortunately I am only about a 6 hour drive to the unit.

4C MD buck. Only took 12 points. Wondering if the country out there has changed much since the last time I was there in 2008.

If you haven't been out there in 12 years you might not recognize it. One of the old main access roads is gone, more oil rigs and spurs in other spots, and I haven't been out there for several years either so I'm sure its changed more.

Would still be my 1st choice for a ND mule deer tag though, kill a big one!

My son drew a 4C tag. Most of my family apples for 4C. I don’t like waiting years for a tag, so I hunt different units for whitetail with rifle. I grew up hunting 4C and it seems like it is pretty much the exact same as it was 30 years ago as far as roads and lots of grasslands. I don’t think there is as many quality bucks running around as there was 12 years ago, but there is certainly some around.

They still have over 90 white tail buck tags left in 3F2. It seems all other remaining deer tags are for does, but there are plenty in the western half of the state. Good luck out there!!F6DB0365-BC2B-49AC-8BCE-2688D507168C.png
