My son Jarrod proposed this evening at the Nationals / Orioles game

Congrats! Super exciting news. The holidays should be a little extra special this year.

I have to disagree since my wife was pregnant three months after getting hitched up with me!😂
They look like a happy couple…I hope they have decades of happiness together!
Yeah, it was a joke,,,,,
They do look like they enjoy each other's company. My ever loving and I will hit our 50th in a few weeks and we were together nearly 3 years before that.

Congratulations to you and the wife sir…that’s awesome. I have 35 with mine…it can be a great life with the right one.
Talking wedding jokes! A joke my uncle told at our reception was drop a penny in a jar every time the deed is done for the first year you’re married. Then take one out each time after the first year…he said we’d never empty that damn jar! My very shy new wife almost climbed under the table.

Another wedding joke.
The father of the bride to be asks the future son in law,, "Well son are you going to be a man and do it tonight or be a mouse and wait until tomorrow?" The groom sai "Well sir, I guess I'm a rat because I did it a long time ago." That's a really old joke before premarital sex was common place.

The night before the ceremony at the rehearsal my daughter asked if I would do the Epistle reading: 1 Corinthians 13. It's almost traditional for weddings and a passage is engraved on her mom's headstone.

Verse 4 is worth repeating. Your young couple might want to keep it in mind for their special day.

"Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way [don't forget that one!]; it is not irritable or resentful; does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."

One of my favorites.
