Out of Lebanon,Oregon on Feb-4-08 the 4th day of my 2 month hunt using my Ruger 338 win mag / burris scope and 225 Nosler hand loads knocked her down w/ 1 shot through the limbs at 70 yards.

Cool! Some sort of extended Cow season or something I suspect huh? Always nice to still be huntin' in Feb.

We have quite a few late season cow hunts,The s.w.santiam cow tag there are 3 hunts. 1st hunt is in Dec 2 1/2 weeks , 3rd 30 days in Jan , and 3rd 60 days feb 1-mar 31st.I had the 3rd hunt.Also there are Cow hunts all over Oregon from Black powder to juvi hunts to rifle hunts. Gota Love it!
