With the craziness this year has brought, it was nice to get away and go on our annual deer hunt. With 2 tags in our pockets, my brother, nephew and I were on our way to an out of state location. The weather forecast was looking to be in our favor with cold temps and snow coming during the season. The main goal of this hunt was to get my 12 year old nephew his first mule deer. He has taken a few whitetail and has been looking forward to be old enough to hunt with us on our trips. The season was short lived, as we had our tags filled on the 3rd day of the hunt. We had a great times for made some life long memories.
Here is a pic of my buck, a few deer we shot with the camera and the finished euro mount. Great buck! I like that pedestal in the background too!
Thank you! I built the pedestal in the spring for a blacktail mount. Had the idea for a few years and finally got time to put it together.

Here’s some better pics of the base. I just remembered I had posted it

Thanks guys! I’m already researching for next years hunt. Seems like research is a year round project, especially when I can’t just drive up to the mountains and scout like I did before moving.
