Thought you guys would appreciate this. I've been working with Hellgate Hunters and Anglers on a new blog that highlights conservation efforts and threats in Montana. While we're pretty Montana focused, there are a number of issues that we're tackling such as the Anti-Roadless bill, 100 mile free-for-all bill, and a host of other issues.

We've got Jim Posewitz, Land Tawney and myself writing for the blog right now, but hope to add others as they can find the time.

I'd love to get some feedback on the site, and see also what you guys would like to see covered in a Hunting/Conservation blog!

Looks good.

I'm sure you've already thought of it, but you should probably make a facebook group and try to grab a bunch of people off of the MWF, HHA etc.

With blogs, at least for me, it's really nice to have a facebook post showing when there's a new article. Hard to keep track and check them all.

Looks like you guys will have your work cut out for you, but you already knew that. Thanks for putting something up that will have all the info we need.

Stand up, fight back and don't let the bastards win.

That's going to cover the "Only God Can Judge Me" tat on my back. :D

Keep up the fight Ben, that is if you can keep up with Pos. Lotsa folks on this sight could stand to learn a thing or two from an old fart like him. He's one of the few that has always took the next step while lesser (sports)men theorized about the next two hundred steps....if they did anything at all. See ya in the trenches....but maybe I'll take some time out for a couple days to follow my brown dog around a bit just south of the Canadian border then hopefully put a cow in the freezer and chase some Mulies:D.

New Book available by Posewitz

Poz has come out with a new book, Taking a Bullet For Conservation, the Bull Moose Party-A Centennial Reflection 1912-2012 Copies can be ordered direct from Jim or thru the publisher, Riverbend at $3.95 per copy.
In the dedication Jim writes "Twenty-first century participant will determine the fate of wild things, wild places, and perhaps the earth itself.
This book is dedicated to those of you who will show up."

Jim was at our last club meeting. It was a pleasure listening to him, and afterwards he gave me one of those books. It is a great little book, I couldn't put it down. It's a must read and it relates today, in relationship to our times and how history is repeating itself.

I found that Orion's website did not work, and on Amazon, this book is listed as out of print (I will look up Riverbend Publishing or call Jim....).
Any input from anyone on Orion website?? Hurry, I'm leaving at 0-dark thirty for bum$@^% bird country:D:D.

It's because we secretly want those sweet shirts.

if you have a sweet shirt, or camo wrap on your truck, then people will know you are serious about stuff.

"liking" more pages gets us more page views. We generate a significant amount of traffic from fb, so we liked most of the hunting pages. Not sure who liked them, but it's there.

I expect we'll fight MT SFW again at the legislature. Landowner tags, Ranching for Wildlife, etc, are all coming back, and based off of last year, MTSFW will be against the resident hunter and FWP again.

Thought it was more of a "anti-predator" page. Don't much care for the mutualism.

Some of the posters on the fb page have been anti-predator but we've been pretty consistent with our message. Hellgate Hunters and Anglers isn't anti-predator and according to dkp I'm part of the pro-wolf crowd.
