Caribou Gear Tarp

mtn man,s first elk !!!!

Mtn man,

Good story. What did you do to keep predators away from your meat? I had to leave mine over night in a coyote infested area, but I was told to leave behind some clothing and to piss in a few spots around (not to close) the elk. Seemed to work for me. What does everyone else think?
I don't know what would be better. Pics of your elk or pics of your hunting party the mourning after the crown :D

Congrats again!

Sweeet Success Mtn Man!!!

I know it's gotta feel good after 5 years!!
Congrats that is awesome, FEELZ GOOD doesn't it?? :D

Congrats on your frist Elk

Mtn Man, 5 years aint so bad, I started when I was 14 and didn't harvest my first elk till I was 38.

Carnivore: I do the exact same thing to keep the coyotes off my (& my dads) elk, works good.

Congrats again Mtn man, (hopefully I too will experience that feeling next week)

Great story...

It took me almost 20 years..I had to move out of Wa and into Mt to start to score on a regular basis...3 out of 4 years now...and counting... :D
