Mt housing

And yet people keep voting for Giantfarte because the D’s are going to take their guns, or something like that. I miss the times of independent thinking voters in MT.

Hopefully workers can gain some ground.
Having moved here from GF over sixty years ago and residing right in the middle of the Cross Harbor Capital / Lone Mountain Land Co impact zone ... I don't share much hope.
As a member of a Gallatin Gateway concerned citizens group, we met with upper level Cross Harbor bigwigs to voice concerns about the adverse impacts to our little town. Cross Harbor steamrolls destination resort communities across the country and knows exactly what they can and cannot do. As the video explains, they know that Montana land use laws favor development and Cross Harbor has an insane amount of capital for development.
They asked what Cross Harbor could offer to assuage the community. I suggested a donation of property for a new school campus, as the present school is landlocked with only about 3 acres. Better yet, how about a new middle school, property and facility? The answer was NO, but we'll pay for advertising costs for a bond issue for locals to foot the bill for a new school. "Peanuts" is all they offer, as they realize they don't have to do anything at all!

As alluded to in the video ... Cross Harbor is about to "steamroll" Clyde Park and the Crazies. My familiarity with the Crazy Mountain Ranch which they purchased comes from managing construction projects in the little "old west" town of Deadrock, built by a previous owner. The area is dynamite gorgeous, but with little public access. Crazy Mountain Ranch area will be another destination for the "rich & famous" built and maintained on the backs of the locals and Montanans struggling to find a place to live.

End of rant (in writing anyway) ... thanks for allowing the vent!

Some of us wonder why people move to Montana since it is so horrible.

Not a logical interpretation of my rant, if that's to what you refer.
Montana is not "so horrible". It's the "Last Best Place".
Just because big outside interests continue to exploit the state does not make it a horrible place to live.
He was being sarcastic. He is a big party politics R guy

Pretty much. The area is already changing.

Also, the lower Shields below Clyde Park is already dewatered enough from irrigation demands that in bad water years it’s almost stagnant. The new golf course being built on the CMR and its water demands might see it dry all summer before it enters the Yellowstone during low water years (just like every river and stream in Paradise Valley).
