MT Fish & Wildlife Commission Today

I attended the F&W Commission meeting today. On the agenda were a lot of access items both related to Conservation Easements, Fee Title Acquisitions and the Commission issued a proclamation in support of the Land & Water Conservation Fund.

LWCF paid for about 70% of MT's fishing access sites. It also has helped pay for new Wildlife Management Areas, Conservation Easements & a host of other good things down to the swimming pool in Conrad and the Tennis Courts in Miles City.

Bottom line: MY F&W Commission stood up for access and habitat conservation today. Good for them.

If there were, I missed them.

They did approve the Red Hill access donation by RMEF and they advanced a number of new Conservation Easements. They also approved the trans-location of 20 Black-Footed Ferrets to UL Bend.
