I’ve gotten out scouting a few times so far. From mid August on I’ll be scouting more frequently. I’ve seen sheep every time, rams all but once. Seems no rhyme or reason to where I’m seeing them. Sometimes high, sometimes low. Only consistent thing is always near steep hills. I haven’t found a flat bit of ground yet. Vast majority of where these sheep live burned last year. Some places didn’t burn too bad, some pockets not at all. Some areas look like a bomb went off, totally scorched. I’ve seen 2-3 “good” rams, around 180” +/-. Lots of good 4 yr old rams. Biggest one I’ve seen I couldn’t approach close enough for any worthwhile pics. I’ll post more updates later in August. They are not using the areas that burned badly at all that I’ve seen so that at least eliminates some areas.
