Saw a post on MM about mossback pictures with a group in the photo. Had to agree with most that the huge group photo shots are a distasteful way to display the trophy. (picture was a 440+ archery bull ) (Also I saw their display at SLC last year and I would like to use their tape to measure my trophies, appears to add about 20 inches)

But here is a group photo the pretty much summed up our week on Kodiak and will have a prominient place on my trophy wall. Last morning before we had to head back to the marina.

Great picture hntnhard. Give us some more pics and a story...pretty please.:D

I guess I don't know what the picture is to which you are referring (about being a bad display), but yours is a great picture of friends and smiles. Good memories.

That's a great photo. I'd like to see more of your trip, too, if you've got them.

"Adding 20 inches to the tape"

All their animals are officially scored and were at the Utah Expo. Why would you start a post with such a great animal in such a negative way.

browtine Just my opinion. Didn't see any official sheets next to the mounts. Didn't mean to step on any toes. But as I went down the line I tried to compare them to bulls I have actually had my hands on that were in the 400 bracket and bulls in the front entrance of the expo that looked larger but scored less. All seemed about 20 inches over what I would have put them at.
Don't take my words to mean that I think they are crooked. Because that is not what I meant. Just that hunting is becoming a numbers game instead of a way to create memories between outdoor enthusiast ( again my opinion and not everyone is included). If all those bulls were officially scored than I stand corrected.

GUys I posted a story of my trip in the Alaska section. Going to add a few more pictures to that post tonight.

"If all those bulls were officially scored than I stand corrected."

The Official scores were framed right under each bull. I know they were there because I helped set up their booth.

No wonder you seem fired up about it. I saw the scores posted but didn't know they were official certificates from B&C.

By the way you would really enjoy the Kodiak hunt. Being stuck on the boat means you fish for Halibut and eat crab meat all day. Where we were even in Horrible weather you could still make it to shore and hike around or sea duck hunt.

Maybe if I could talk Moosie and IDB to go again I could get it done. I need those gorrilla arms of IdahoBugler for safety against the bears and Moosie there because I know I could outrun him :)

Let's get'r done. But as long as Moosie has a big gun we will be fine with the bears. That is if he loads it first.

Name the time and place... we can ever record it for the WWW. Go ahead.. notice moosie didnt [hilite]chime[/hilite] in... He is scared.. Bring it...................................
