Living on a ridge at 1,000 feet elevation, we always appreciated being above the famous Fairbanks ice fog.
I always hated morning fog hunting...cold and unable to stay upwind since no wind.
Ducks not flying and if they are, I can't see them flying.
The only time I got lost was duck hunting in Logan Utah at the local marsh.
No compass, thick morning fog, quit for the morning and canoed out...did 2 big hour-long circles
even though I thought I was paddling a straight line back to the truck.
Fishing for halibut, anchored in the morning fog on my friend's boat.
On his radar we see another boat headed straight at us in pea-soup fog.
We hoped he had radar also!
At least morning fog eventually lifts and life gets back to normal.
