More Trips

ELKCHSR same thing here sort of. I was on my way to Japan via Anchorage in a Flying Tiger 747 and the pilot flew us both ways so both sides could see too. It was night and it looked so cool!!!!

I wish I would have had a camera that took good pics out of those warped plane windows, it was awsome, and I bet you had a fantastic view..
I didn't understand what exactly I was hearing on the news until I actually went over the top of it. Then got to work in it after I got out of the Navy...

My ex-in-laws flew down from The Dalles, Oregon in his Cessna for the wedding in Fairfield, CA and were not able to fly back for quite a few days because of all the ash in the air.

The real fun part was that the scientists of the day were stating it would be 200 years before the area even really started getting back to normal, as that goes.... LMAO!!! I was in there trying to hunt only four or five years after it happened and couldn't hardly walk in the area for all the cotton woods growing back and the brush that had choked every thing up. The wild life that came back I think really enjoyed all the extra cover because of the amount of roads that were in that area... I haven't been back since so am not sure what it looks like now. I would guess that Mother Earth is very much alive and well and filling every quadrent to the nano inch with life as is here way almost in every nook and crany possible....
