I hear ya. I know in California it's getting bad. My cousin killed a blacktail a few years ago with his bow and about six guys came out of the timber with guns and took his deer from him. The sad part is my cousin was legal.

Whoa Slick,

What did those guys say to your cuz? Weird... I remember hearing stories of guys out hunting and running into marjuana fields and shacks- full of firearms (those guys probably got lucky). I hear that kind of thing is becoming more popular- people hiring illegals to grow their crops on National Forest. Who knows?

I'm not sure what they were doing, scary none the less. One year some guys were going from camp to camp with a refrigarator van and taking deer out of the hunting camps. Now that is BALLSY! Knowing that the guy your "f'n" with has a gun!

What a bummer, Shoots Straight!

Thornton is facing two felony counts of unlawful possession of big game for the moose he allegedly shot and an elk he killed in 2009. The affidavit said Thornton killed two elk that year - one legally during archery season and a second one shot after he obtained a replacement license that falsely stated his other license had been lost or stolen.

Darby neihbor boys got yanked.... Implicated in shooting deer from a baited point outside the backside of their neighbored apartment?
I sure hope a statement is made... in the fine / penalty - though viewing the recent posts of such PETTY fines... I don't hold my breath... The only thing in favor for a possible REAL penalty here??? There is no real $ supporters / false media blitzes for the poachers / criminals to sway... Then again, ACLU may not have had some concocted address to this - yet..

On the side note: Several years back, California was dealing with gang's monitoring public gun ranges... Spotters would communicate when possible range user(s) was en route... A few would hole up, - when the person(s) went to set up targets and (or) during reloads - they would ambush and collect all firearms.
