Gastro Gnome - Eat Better Wherever

Moose hunting is not for me.

I’m speechless. From the floatplane ride, to the boat ride, to hearing a cow moose in the distance, to grunting a bull into 50 yards, to seeing that huge animal on the ground at your feet to trying to lift the head for a picture to sipping whiskey in camp with a full meat pole to the sore muscles that go away after a few days and you are only left with fond memories I can’t think of another hunt I’d rather go on or catch myself day dreaming about more.

Ditto for elk hunting. Deer hunting, does only, in low, flatter wooded areas near home
is about as labor-intensive and costly as I would ever want hunting, big game or otherwise, to be.

Western hunting is getting really played.
I’m gonna lay low on it for like 2-3 years to let it cool off then get back into it.
Sometimes I feel really cucked out when I dawn my sg suit and take off in a solitary pursuit with 15 other cars at the trailhead.
You can get way more of an intimate experience with the outdoors on a/t skis than you can with a archery tag in your pocket.
I will winter in the west, I shall hunt at home.
