Congrats on a well deserved bull Randy. Gotta love those class acts like wingman. belly-deep is right, people like that eventually get what's coming to them.

I've got news for you guys, you do not have a clue on far.'s. When landing and taking off you can fly as high or low as needed. And in sparsely pop areas any where you want to. 500 feet from persons, structure ect. 500 feet is pretty low. If I flew over you at 500 you would probably want to hit the deck because it is loud. That equates to 160 yards. When I came over the the area randy is talking about I was at least 1000 agl. I flew by and went back once that day.

The News is, you may have been Legal, but not Ethical. If you feel so strongly about being justified in using a plane to scout, why do you have to explain yourself? That is the way I see it. John

So where are the pictures of your elk there wingman? Although it is very apparent you are as arrogant as they come, guys still like to see dead animals. Or was it just another clean out the gene pool bull? Hopefully it was one that you or whoever you know made the bad shot on during archery season. Doing all your spotting from an airplane to know where everything is at, i'm pretty sure anybody including my 5 yr old could kill an elk doing that:D

wingman,

From what I can see so far from your actions and posts, you are the kind of guy who gives all hunters a black eye. You buzz herds of elk and another hunters camp. I assume there is a law against one or both of these acts in MT. If so, I would hope you are reported to the proper authorities and prosecuted. Second, you know fellow hunters were camped in "your area" on public land and you hunt on top of them anyways, You justify this because you were hunting there during bow season so you now have exclusive rights to it. WTH? They were there first! What happened to ethics and respect for other hunters? For whatever reason, it's clear you lack both. Make sure you thank your parents or mentors for the stellar job teaching you ethics on behalf of the rest of us. Clearly a job well done!

I will give you credit where it's due though. It takes balls, or a extreme amount of stupidity, to come on the guys website whose hunt you did your best to trash and congratulate him on his success.

Without a doubt, you have to be the biggest jackass I have seen in years on this, or any other hunting site, and there have been a few dandies in the past (Blue Yummies and his rancher buddy sidekick). Congratulations on earning the title.

I think you should call up Goose, Iceman and Maverick , loose the shirts, and enjoy a a rousing game of gay beach volleyball. Leave the hunting to guys who can treat each other with just a little respect.

WTH! You mean that you wouldn't bust up somebody's hunt because they were there before you? Ethics and respect? What is wrong with you?
Serious, great post!! You kept me from *going off* !

Man, glad to hear it came together for you guys. That's awesome. And, I think it's cool to take a broken bull - the horn character is always neat - he's a fighter and there's the proof! :D Anyway, great job and many congrats.

Nice work Randy. Cool experience to try and it will make a great episode. Congratulations. After reading this however, I think I'll just stick to walking a few miles where I'll be less likely to deal with douchebags, even if the hunting sucks in comparison.

Buschy, we've had that same problem up in the Breaks where we hunt as well (with a jerk in a plane). It happened 2 years in a row. I had them fly over us with me in my stand. There were no marking on the plane to ID it other than the colors. The following year they flew over us as we were descending a ridge into the bottoms and didn't realize I had my camera with a zoom lense on it until it was to late. I got several very good pictures, again with no tail makrings. We reported it to the CMR and were told since they are not interfering with your hunt they are doing nothing wrong. We had afew words regarding that but still didn't get anywhere. I have a friend who was a warden up there and I sent him the pics along with where it was (a no fly zone). I got to speak with him a few weeks ago and was told that the Feds (CMR) didn't have much interest in doing anything, but they finally found away to at least make it much more expensive to fly. They turned him into the FAA and he had to spend several thousand dollars to get everything up to date. It didn't completely stop the fly overs, but they are much higher now and far less frequent. I was told that there aren't very many laws adressing this problem, which was why it was so hard to find a way to keep them from doing it.

Randy,
Thanks for the effort you put into writting the story all while battling the elements and the jerks. Congrats to all!

almost made me cry!:p

Has anyone ever seen a plane with bullet holes in the bottom???? Me either but i know a couple that could use some:)

Wing must be related to Blue Yummies................or maybe they are probably on the same butt dart team.

Wow, still no pictures of his genetically superior elk....imagine that.

Sounds like the disadvantaged are jealous!

Stop giving this dipchit any attention. He is just pissed because someone was hunting on public land that he "thought" was land locked to the public. Why do you think he buzzed them and then was there at first light to disrupt their hunt? Based on Randy's accounts the majority of the smoker bulls were down on private, so why would a ratard such as himself feel inclined to wander up there? You can fill in the blanks. I think it is hilarious that his feathers were so scorched that he had to come on here to try and light a fire. What a tool, but what do expect?

Wow, i'm sure we all wish we could be such jackasses...........you nailed it.

I'm signing off, this is taking away from Randy's successful hunt.............

Great job on a very cool Bull Randy. You worked hard for it and it was a great thread to follow, congrats.
