Hey all. Happy to join these forums. Long time hunter, mainly Oregon the last 20+ years and occasionally hunt back home in Montana now that they have the native Montanan program. Hunting both states again this year and looking forward to picking everyone's brains on topics.

They can get pretty big bodies. Bring some waterproof gear and patience. The coast is thick with brush and wet but worth it if you get into them.

Welcome fellow hunter.
Oregon is my favorite state to hunt elk.
In particular Hells Canyon and the Imnaha area. Very beautiful country indeed.

Looks like a welcome is in order for you as well, I've hunted and fished the Imnaha canyon and spent some time chasing elk in Hells Canyon. Beautiful and big!

I’m in Hillsboro, and have been scouting the Wilson unit some. Seems tricky to not find people everywhere you look.

hello, i live in maine and ive been saving my points for oregon elk. i saw your comments about Imnaha and thought id ask if i could get your input on that unit. im considering and long trip out to scout elk and steelhead fish. i could draw it. i have enough points but i just wondered if its the kind of unit you think a 2-3 mile hike up steep country could get me into elk during rifle season on public
the eagle cap wilderness looks like amazing country and id love to pack a bull out of there before i get too old to pack elk out anymore
