Drew my breaks ewe tag. Probably end up doing a week solo float trip. When you can't get a ram tag, those breaks ewe hunts are a blast.

No, I killed a ram a couple years ago so it will be another five years until I can go after Montana ram #3.

I don't think there have been any units with 2nd choice ewe tags available in a few (or more) years. Although, I did get a call in September two years ago from FWP with the opportunity to accept a breaks ewe permit that someone drew and declined to purchase. I was driving through northern BC and didn't get the message in time so it went to the next guy on the list.

Would you trade your sheep tag for a moose and goat tag?

One of the things I like about the MT system is that no points or maximum, we all have a chance. Although, I must admit I was less than happy for a kid I knew that drew two big 3 tags in the same year with no points! With two of them to go, I will gladly take mine one at a time. Maybe next year.

Congratulations. I think this is year 36 for me on the moose, no luck yet. No luck with anything. I need to start applying for the 100% successful odds permits again, just so I can draw something - HA!
