Montana Moose Musings

A dandy, congrats to the whole team!

As someone who was used numerous times as a Moose packer, it’s def a team effort

Looks like a great moose. Been waiting on this story since he drew his tag can't wait to hear and watch it someday. Moose meat is second to none.

Since Matthew's week away from work has him burning some serious hours to make up for lost time, a few images will have to tell parts of the story along the way.

The last loads, with darkness not far off. All of us are tired. Michael trailed behind, continuing to take images, even with a heavy load in his pack.

Your wilderness assistant/sherpa Michael seems to have taken a real liking to western life. He is a good follow on Instagram nicely supplementing the Randy Newberg, Hunter instagram account.

That’s a darned nice bull! Congratulations Matthew.

Very nice Shiras! Congrats.

I love the flavor of the one I killed but damn he is tough. Buddy killed a dandy in Idaho this year that isn't tough at all and tasted excellent.

Congrats too Matthew and crew! Dang nice bull, been trying for lots of years to get a moose tag here in Idaho, not so lucky though. Can't wait to see this day by day episode on youtube!
Matt

Nice! Love the packing out shot. And that really is a perfectly composed field shot w/ the critter. Well done, all around!
