Montana Elk 310-45

Just found out today that I drew the unlimited 310-45 elk permit in Montana. From what little I've read, it looks like some good bulls with lots of wolves, bears, and hunters. Anyone ever hunted there? Just wanted to get some thoughts on the place.

Are you going archery or rifle? My brother, father and I are going there for rifle opener this year. This will be our first time hunting there. I made the 14hr drive last week to get a look at the area instead of staring at google. Montana wildlife and parks website has some good rescources... If I have a great Wyoming mule deer hunt in sept i plan to swing over with there and spend $10 to chase the rut with my bow too. I look forward to sharing my experience with others on here. Just got back from Roscoe, picked up Winchester(my horse) and hes ready for October!

How did yalls hunts go last year in this unit? just looked up the results and I drew one of the unlimited unit 310-45 tags on my third choice.
