Great quote! Rings very true with me.I was talking to a lady friend yesterday about the hunt and telling her about just how tough it was. She had a hard time trying to understand why someone would put themselves through something like that with a minimal chance of shooting something, and with a bow! I used a marathon runner as an analogy. You train, plan, focus strictly on the task. The marathon is more than you can bare, but the final result is a lifetime memory and accomplishment. On top of that, the marathon runner is just him and what he accomplishes, when you throw in the fact that you're trying to outsmart such an animal in his territory and get within bow range, the rewards go through the roof!
She actually understood after I put it in those terms.
