MONTANA BONUS POINTS

today i went to buy myself and my sons bonus points. My son was born in 2019 and i have bought him bonus points each year since then. i went today to buy his and his brothers who was born in 2021 and it will not even give it to me as an option. does someone know did they make an age limit on it now?

They got rid of that option in last legislative session. I believe your one son will be able to keep his already purchased points if I remember correctly. Imo this was a smart decision.

Yeah, I dont think that was an option last year either.

I personally wish I could’ve drawn a primo tag at 18 and another at 36. But alas, I have deadbeat parents.

I wouldn’t mind seeing the youth hunt and apprentice program go away. Those kids want to hunt? Great but they should take hunter education before going afield. Not hunt for two years and say yea it was fun but I have no desire to not sit through the course.

It was . It just changed . I bought one for my son last year . I do think it was good idea to change it tho even I was buying them for him since he was born. He will still probably draw a LE permit before me lol
