Stay positive and spend every moment you can in there until either they show up or season ends! Good luckI'm not tech savvy enough to find the "goose egg" gif, as that would about sum this hunt up so far.
El Nino sucks big time.
Bison haven't migrated yet, and seem very content in the park.
We will be here though the cold snap so I still have some hope.
I am already planning a return trip.
I am far from giving up, there is over a month left in the season.
Stand by...
Ouch, worth a shot anyway. Beattie Gulch is likely THE spot, especially for packing back to the truck, but not the only spot to find one. I am defiantly on the lookout for a local to keep me up to date.Sorry, I live about 2000 miles away. I just pulled that name off GoogleEarth.
Congrats! It's an odd feeling. I did not end up getting a bison, as far as I know all of the tags in that unit went unfilled, it still makes me sick to think of the odds of drawing just to get hosed by a mild Montana winter... My only advice, pray for snow lots and lots of snow. If I'm not swamped at work there is a chance I would tag along. I did spend a good amount of time learning the area, so let me know if you have any questions.Hey folks….so glad I found this thread….im still in shock. Just learned I pulled a bison tag this year same as you last.(385-20) . Would love to know how it all ended up last year (know it was a rough season) and hear all about what your learned….hell if you’re down we can still get your hands Buffalo messy if they still require it…..no idea my plan yet…but feel like some extra hands is involved in all versions though!
Bummer that the weather did not cooperate but kudos to you for your offer to help.Congrats! It's an odd feeling.
