Montana bears... And stupid people

Yep that's our National Park Zoo.
If this was any where else someone would have got hurt or killed by mama bear but being these park animals are habituated to people their a little more tolerant of tourons.

I also saw this one the other day. Amazing there aren't more attacks really.

And these people who are choosing to be in the open with momma and cubs are the same ones who are smart enough to determine if it's a black bear (somewhat safer) or Ursus Horribulus (deep doodoo)

It's all about getting a good selfie.

I worked in Yellowstone for two summers. Its amazing what people do sometimes. Part of our orientation is a video warning about encounters with animals with the required videos of people being ridiculously dumb. My favorite was the video of an Asian family in Yellowstone with the husband standing right next to a group of buffalo. You can hear the wife say on the camera, "See if you can get him to look at me". So the husband reaches over and grabs the buffalo by the horns and tries to pull his head around to face the camera. Needless to say the guy ended up about 20 feet in the air.
