MOA vs mils.

As already mentioned above, pick one and get use to the math. As far as reticle, I prefer to keep it simple and not clutter up half the scope with a christmas tree. If shooting long range for fun, your not going to be in a hurry to use the "tree" for hold overs. Dial it up and hold for the wind.

There's no inches/feet or cm/mm involved really as both MOA/MIL are angular measurements.

I know,but my mind thinks different than most....lol ... & I hate metric numbers on my topo's too....I still use my dad's American Practical Navigator for info too.....1942 edition.

This is what people fail to understand. A metric 1 is no different than an imperial 1. If my reticle says I need to move 1, I move 1

Yep! Sighting in a scope where the reticle/turrets match and that tracks well is so nice.
