This thing is getting alot of press already... but the one over reported misconception that i keep hearing over and over is that there will be 1,000. minutemen showing up tommorrow...This is not going to happen... The 1,000. minutemen will be spread over 30 days April 1st - 30th . there is not one vacancy [hotel] in Tombstone.. but most of it is "Media"

I know of over 75 minutemen that aren`t coming until the next 2 weeks.
But i`m sure the[liberal] press will say poor turnout or anything negative that they can. hump

Hopefully we get a good turnout for the rally... April 2nd :) :)

I will give a 'real world" report when i get back :) .

They have said previous efforts got about 15 guys to show up....

All were riding in a 73 Dodge Van with a tear drop bubble window on the back quarter panel.....

I will have a few firearms in my truck.. just like i normally do.. this is AZ .

Joe Curveball we have upgraded to a new Ford quad cab.

You know I was wondering what to do when I get to Tucson on Saturday. Maybe my wife and I will rent a car and go tour the border to see all this in action. Maybe as a present for my 40th birthday on Sunday I can get my picture taken with a real live minuteman. I don't think the minutemen have been under arms since about 1776. This is history in the making. :D

The illegals are coming, the illegals are coming!!! sure doesn't have the same ring to as Paul Revere's orginal battle cry of the "British are coming!!!"

Is it one if by land and two if by El Camino?

I don't know WH...my Mrs b-day was last Wednesday (the big 4-0) and I don't know if she was all that happy about it or not ;)

Minuteman patrol off to a slow start
The turnout of armed civilians to watch border is less than expected

TOMBSTONE, ARIZ. - The Minuteman Project, a monthlong operation in which volunteers intend to patrol the Arizona-Mexico border, got off to a seemingly slow start Friday with a lower-than-expected turnout and a handful of people getting out into the field.

In the lead-up to the project, organizers had predicted that as many as 2,000 people would show up for what they said would be a historic defense of the American homeland as they kept watch for undocumented immigrants, drug smugglers and terrorists trying to enter the United States.

By the time of the project's kickoff Friday, 450 volunteers had arrived in this Old West silver-mining town, according to organizer Jim Gilchrist, a retired accountant from Aliso Viejo, Calif. He expressed hope that at least 1,000 more people will turn out this month.

"People are flocking here from every state to make the American people wake up to the dangerous situation we have on the border," Gilchrist told reporters outside a Tombstone community center.

About 200 peoplemostly middle-aged or elderly men — had gathered there to register for the project and attend an orientation session.

So Jose, Que paso? You think because they are old, they can't report illegals? Or because there are only 450 the first day that the rest won't show? What's up with you Jose? You think these guys are like your far left friends who all show up for a project the first day and leave that night? So there is a disagreement between what the press sees and what the organizers see. Did anyone expect any less?

What are the chances of an unbiased, objective report in any paper, either conservative or liberal, of the events happening now or about to happen with this project? I would guess slim and none. Objectivity seems to be something that is missing from journalism as well as legal practice.

By the way, where is your green card? Every Jose Cuervo I've ever seen, and I've seen a few, was "Etcho in Mexico".

He won't serve his country, only himself, and those that do serve, he has nothing but ill to speak of them. Wants every one else to show actual proof, but he only comes up with the cut and pastes. Seems like a pretty empty fellow if you ask me… Hmmmm.....I wonder what knowledge he has that hasn't been bought, but earned... ;)
