I guess it is quite obvious whom the real fishermen are.

Del pulled some nice large-mouth out and I could not even get a bite (nothing new to me). Finally Del located some small dumb fish that were happy to let me stick a hook through their jaw and I was able to reward them.

Along with the fishing, I got to enjoy some amazing scenery and great company with Del and Anthony. Although I had a great time, I am not sure if this Montana hick is ready to relocate to the "Valley of the Sun." I saw more people and vehicles today than I have seen in a year of MT driving.

In Montana, occasionally a turning signal is used to indicate a lane change when space allows. In Phoenix, it implies "move your ass or you will be hit." I was a good boy and kept my finger to myself.

No need to get a bullet while on the freeway.

Del introduced me to everyone on the lake and he knew them all well. I didn’t get many first names, although I did learn their bulletin board handles. Those fisher-woosies are a strange breed.

After a 45 mile freeway drive back to the home base, I got a call from FEW. He has plans to take me quail hunting this weekend. Hopefully Del, Forrest and I can kill a few birds after Christmas. With a little luck, I will be a better hunter than a fisherman or I will not be able to show my face again in AZ.

Thanks much for the great fishing and a wonderful day on the water Del, it was a pleasure to finally meet you and your family.

. He is currently in doggie jail back home. Not sure if I can scrape enough to bail him out next week.

mtmiller, I felt like the fish out of water when I lived in Phoenix a few years ago. Crap, there are more people in one apartment complex than the small Idaho hick town I grew up in. It was scary to think that the first police vehicle usually on the scene of a crime was a helicopter!!

The really nice thing about Arizona is the winters cuz summers down there really suck. My first summer there is was 126 degrees but the weatherman kept saying, "It's 126 degrees in the sun but it's a cool 110 in the shade!" Cool my can. There is nothing cool about 110 degrees. They count how many days in a row with 100+ degree weather. Delw can probably give us 'northerners' a better idea of how many days above 100 degrees but it is like 100+ days a year for crying out loud.

Fortunately when I was going to school, I had a job that allowed me to get up to Prescott, Sedona, and Flagstaff a few times a month to break up the big city life a bit. I did get used to all the freakin traffic after a while but the best thing about leaving Phoenix was I-17 and I didn't even hesitate looking back.

I enjoyed my stay in Phoenix while it lasted but I looked forward to getting back to Idaho - not as dang hot up here!!

After Chatting with Mt Miller for a while yesterday, he's got it made up in Montana. very few people no traffic etc.

Miller did see a Bald eagle also.

Tried to get him on fish but the bite was a little tough, we had to resort to verticle jigging a spoon aka Spooning.

The guy can throw a bait caster with no problems I know that for sure. so he cant be all that bad

Had a great time and we are trying to hook up on sat for some quail hunting.

Anthony had a blast and was asking about hunting with craig this weekend.

Craig's got a few pics he took on a old fashion Camera( the ones that have to get developed)
